360 Fusion is the melding of a spectrum of colors and shapes of glass to create unique and colorful glass artwork.
This glass art is created through a process called "fused
glass" or "warm glass" because all glass forming activity takes
place between 1100 and 1700 degrees, enough heat to fuse the
pieces of glass together. Once the design is concepted, different colors
and shapes of glass are hand cut from sheet glass and placed in a kiln to be fused together. Additional glass elements such as glass chards, bits or threads may be added to enhance the design. For a piece to get its final shape, it goes back to the
kiln to be "slumped" into a mold. Throughout the process, glass grinders, saws, and hand files are
used to refine the glass and create a better finished product.
The final result is distinct and vibrant glass in the form of displayable yet functional glass art.
